So Very Very Angry.

My current art assignment which is currently in progress is about homophobia. During the process of researching for this I have come across the lovely Phelps family, the leaders of Westboro Baptist Church located in Topeka, Kansas.



The group is known for it's hatred of gays and all who support gays. The group is best known for it's protest activities such as picketing soldier's funerals, because of course they are defending America which is a 'fag-enabling' country.



This is also the group who, in reference to the Victoria bushfires, said in a statement 'God hates Australia' and 'thank god for the fiery deaths of hundreds'.



I bet you'd love to hear what they had to say about Brokeback Mountain.

'God hates the sordid, tacky bucket of slime seasoned with vomit known as Brokeback Mountain- and he hates all persons having anything whatsoever to do with it'.
They later protested at Heath Ledger's memorial service in the US.
