Exams...

Some students shuffle in their seats uncomfortably awaiting inspiration, others, with their noses nearly touching the desk, write feverishly, minds overflowing with creativity. A cool breeze blows through the window and as if previously organized a relieved sigh gushes forthwith from the students and can be heard over the scratching of pens and otherwise complete, desperate silence of the room. The birds can be heard outside, whistling, signifying the freedom the students urgently long for. Without warning a bird launches itself from the branch and slows to a gentle glide peacefully floating to the ground. The teacher watches the class with the eyes of a hawk, scanning the room leaving no detail untouched. The clock ticks, ticks, ticks, never reaching its destination.
